About Us Mallard Marine Corporation is a family owned and operated business that produces high quality boats for waterfowlers all over the world. It was founded in 1995 when David A. Boys needed a watercraft better suited for lay-out duck hunting. David designed the boat we know as the Marsh Rat(tm) Magnum. The Marsh Rat(tm) Magnum, made from fiberglass, was known for stability on the water, easy to paddle and greatly increasing bags of hunters. In 2006 the lighter, polyethylene model Marsh Rat(tm) was introduced. Today, Mallard Marine is operated by me, David A. Boys II, my wife, Leila Boys, and a great partner, Don Hart. We're small, but we make up for this in our excellent service, product knowledge and a strong desire to help waterfowlers get a truly great boat!
